![]() ![]() ![]() * This sketch demonstrates how to scan WiFi networks. I have used the sample code below to scan and display the available WiFi Networks. Note that the Explore Wifi board has on board 3.3v regulator and circuitry to reset the board and put it in programming mode. Image below shows connections made from Explore USB to Serial and Explore Wifi boards. To program ESP8266, you need a USB to serial converter. Restart the Arduino IDE and Select the specific Board. Next, use the Board manager to install the ESP8266 package. Next, Select the Board manager under Tools. 1.2.5 Restart the Arduino IDE and Select the specific Board.Īrduino support for ESP8266 Download Arduino IDE from ( 1.6.4 or greater) Install the ESP8266 Board Package' Select the Preferences under File.Įnter into Additional Boards Manager URL's field under preferences as shown below.1.2.4 Next, use the Board manager to install the ESP8266 package.1.2.3 Next, Select the Board manager under Tools.Serial port DIP switch with dual control, so the expansion board can be used alone as an Arduino Uno expansion boards, it can also be used as ESP8266 expansion board use. 1.2.2 Enter into Additional Boards Manager URL's field under preferences as shown below. Standard pin-compatible Arduino Uno, Mega2560, and other control board, Arduino UNO connection with the use of a voltage converter chip, so 3.3V and 5V are compatible.1.2.1 Select the Preferences under File.1.2 Install the ESP8266 Board Package'.Understanding the serial communication in the Arduino is very important because these days many devices uses UART interface, like GPS, ESP8266, GSM and RFID modules. 1.1 Download Arduino IDE from ( 1.6.4 or greater) Arduino Serial Communication is used to communicate over serial port with terminal devices over UART like PC. ![]()
